BIOGRAPHY

“Rebel street music for a new generation”

For two decades, The King Blues have been a beacon for poetic storytelling, innovative musicality, and unwavering activism. Emerging from the vibrant and chaotic epicenters of North and East London, the semi-acoustic punk outfit quickly transcended the squat party scene to become a legendary voice in British alternative music.

Blending the raw, driving energy of punk rock with the rhythmic bounce of ska, hip-hop, and spoken-word, the band crafts an intensely unique sound. Their music tackles heavy socio-political realities—challenging establishments, war-mongering politicians, and inequality—while weaving striking imagery and sharp, observational British wit.

Led by frontman and lyricist Jonny “Itch” Fox, The King Blues are defined just as much by their revolutionary fervour as their musicianship. Whether armed with an electric guitar, acoustic instruments, or a ukulele, the band’s core mission remains the same: combining art with activism and delivering a message of hope amid adversity.

Having blazed a trail through the UK underground to major festival lineups and critically acclaimed releases, The King Blues continue to challenge, inspire, and ignite the dance floor.
